Would you like to play with a band that:

    Achieves consistently high contest results
    Is upwardly mobile?
Will present you with challenging and entertaining concert repertoire?
Is friendly, with a great rehearsal atmosphere?
Will allow you to feel valued and help you to achieve?

    You will need to be:

    Based in the Midlands area
    A good commited band person
A Horn Baritone or Euphonium player

Drop me a line in confidence on this email address for further details

I should add that this post has nothing to do with the Flowers Band, as may be suggested by the email address!

well it ain't burbage, if you want to start to narrow down because we are not after a horn, baritone or euph player, we don't have consistantly high contest results and we are the nastiest unfriendliest people in banding!!:D

That should narrow it down quite a lot!

Sorry folks its an advert for a player, not intended for public discussion, hence the provision of an email address.

take a look at all the other adverts for players mate, they all give full details of the band
, etc so why not you?

unless you are looking to sack a player and don't want them to know you are trying to replace them?

I agree with all the earlier posts. I am a baritone player, who has previously played euphonium both in my own 1st section band and as a dep for other bands and I live in the Midlands, and I would like to play for a band that consistently achieves high results - so it would seem that I am a perfect match for your advertisment, but under no circumstances would I ever wish to play for a band that is so secretive about the way in which they recruit new players. I would want to know which band it was that was asking before I made contact with them. And I think that is a perfectly reasonable thing to expect.

Oh dear, I seem to have ruffled feathers without meaning to...
Will all viewers please disregard the advert and if anyone knows how to delete it please go ahead, or advise me and I will do it myself.

Why not just say what band it is?

What have you got to hide?

    What a bizzare thread:confused:

I think bizzare Original Post would be more accurate. Given the bland nature of the advert questions were certain to be asked and the thread has followed the Columbo route of detective work to find out who it is. . . . .

Personally I wouldn't apply to band who does its business like this.

    Strange, Very Strange.
Wonder What Band it was ? We May never Know. And I doupt they will increase their numbers with this thread.
