    Congratulations to Wingates, Lockwood and Youth Brass 2000 for winning! (apologies can't remember who won 3rd and 4th section) and many thanks to wingates for letting the youth brass members gate crash your party...although sorry for leaving so early i had to go chase an annoying lost and completely drunk little person!

    I havent found out results yet of Championshiop section - just know wingates won.

    How did BTM do?? :roll:

    On a Dutch brassband forum (, the following results were reported:
    1. Wingates
    2. Flowers
    3. Aeolus (France)
    4. Rotzkreuz (Switzerland)

    the order of the other 5 participants in the highest section was not reported apparently...

    Woohoo! France was great :D
    I don't think they awarded a second place Lynchie!
    Cocktail bar was wicked, although we didn't really get much time in there :cry: I was also a little interested as to why the waitress didn't know what pommes frites were... took half an hour to get her to realise! :lol:
    and as for the annoying little drunk girl we had to find...TWICE...grr! :evil:

    What a great weekend although we were 2nd in both contests !!!!! Bring on next year. Well done Kev some classy flugel playing and well done Sid for a brilliant rendition of the trom concerto.

    offered to sit 2nd and annihilate some little baritones at the fete, and then got a phonecall asking me to play in peterborough... at least the one on Sunday has a different conductor to the fete job... :wink:

    So what march were you playing this year? Something new and exciting?

    Yes, T'was a fantastic weekend. Good friends, good playing, good weather and good ale. Well done to Wingates. By the way, if anyone bumps into Murray Borthwick, can they remind him that a sock is for wearing on your foot and not anything else! :wink:
