I know it's a bit early but does anyone have a date for the 2012 French Open?

The organisers have been in touch and told me it's the 1st to the 3rd of June 2012
Does anyone know what sort of prize money is on offer? Or what the prize money was this year?
The info from the contest organisers lists Cash prizes & gift vouchers but no values; all I can find online is that there's a total pot of "over £7000".
If anyone's going in 2012 and needs a Bass player - Eb or BBb, (though preferably BB) - then please consider me amongst your options. I love that contest!
Even better if you need a bass and a baritone, cos the GF will get cross if I go and she can't......
I'll bear that in mind!...
Btw the test piece I understand is Journey to the Centre of the Earth
Not, as some bands experienced - Journey to the Centre of the First Section
There's nothing about a set test in the info I got from the organisers, where have you seen that?
JR knows these things, Alex.....
There's always a set test for each section - last year was Year of the Dragon in the top.
It was just what I was told grapevine-wise last week - as i understand it each band gets the definitive list this month so won't be long to wait.
I know there's always a set test, I just didn't know what it is (because its not in the contest info I got yesterday) and wondered how you'd heard. Its not the easiest contest to get details for, lol!
Like I said Alex. Somehow, JR just knows.....
so, prize money JR? What did Lockwood bag this year?
The French Open is one of the best contests we have ever done. Great fun.
The Euro Brass contest in Holland is also fantastic and an exceptionally high standard. Well worth a look for an away trip.
We won the March and the Entertainment Contest and got 2nd on Year of the Dragon in the top section. I think we won something like 700 Euros (could be Francs next year the way things are going...) but I'm not entirely sure
