can anyone tell me if the french open is a set test piece contest.
i would like to know what the 1st/championship section have to play.
also where in france is the contest being held?

any info would be spot on!!!

Think this is in the wrong place... but anyway, the contest is set test + a march competition as far as I know (I only ever played in the youth section, which is own choice, but I'm pretty sure the other sections were set). Don't know what this year's pieces are this year I'm afraid. The contest is in Amboise, which is near Tours as far as I remember.

Championship test piece is diversions on a bass theme
1st section is comedy overture (i'm pretty sure it is)
2nd section is Tam O'shanters ride
    3rd section i don't know
    4th section is divertimento
    Hope that helps
