Bradwell Silver Band pride ourselves in supporting the growth of brass banding and together with Boobs and Brass we take this opportunity to invite all brass and percussion players age 18 and under to attend a free masterclass supported by Yamaha, 30th September 2017 11am to 1pm.

Yamaha spokesperson Natasha Homer commented “Yamaha are delighted to once again be supporting Boobs and Brass in concert especially here in Milton Keynes – the home of our UK head office. Yamaha’s vision is to inspire new musical talent whilst supporting those who already play.”

Taking advantage of our use of the outstanding new theatre in Milton Keynes The Venue MK, secured for the breast cancer charity concert being held that evening, we can offer a masterclass with outstanding brass musicians Lucy Cutt, Ben Godfrey and Jack Wilson.

Lucy Cutt, Yamaha Flugel Horn Artist, is currently a featured soloist with The Fairey Band and has appeared as guest soloist in the UK and oversees on numerous occasions.

Both Ben Godfrey and Jack Wilson started their playing careers with Bradwell Silver Band. Ben, a world-renowned trumpet and cornet player, is committed to improving the young brass and percussion players of Milton Keynes and fits in the role of Musical Director for MK Youth Brass with the high demand for his skills as a freelance musician. Jack Wilson currently holds the Soprano seat for the GUS Band is has just completed his university studies at the Royal College of Music.

Bradwell Silver Band is honoured to host these three championship class brass musicians.

The Masterclass will consist of playing as a large ensemble, smaller groups, a question/answer session and the opportunity to receive individual advice on solo performance.

For further information or to request the registration documents or to enquire about the evenings charity concert, please contact Stephanie Chappell press@bradwellband.co.uk in the first instance.

The Band look forward to sharing with you this exciting opportunity and are proud to support brass players of the future.
