Are the acclaimed performances and interpretations of the Fodens/Tovey combination going to be released on CD? I have read so many comments and reviews and have been anticipating a serious recording featuring this combination, but, so far, to my knowledge, all we have is a couple of (minor) tracks on the Brass in Concert CD. If nothing else, surely the several contest performances, although not deemed to be winning performances on the day, would result in a commercially successful CD. I can even imagine the front cover: Tovey conducts Fodens - featuring a picture of the maestro. It could also include Fantasia for Band and Piano.

Anyone, particularly from Fodens or World of Brass care to comment?

It's something I and all the band would love to do. As a player on all "our" contest performances I have to say that whilst I can understand why they didn't win they ARE special and so different to anything we've ever done before.
If someone would put this CD together I'd buy a copy...:)
