The Flowers Band have made some new signings ahead of this week's National Finals at the Royal Albert Hall.

Steve Ruck, previously of the Stanshawe and Tredegar bands joins on the front row together with Chris Hart, who has signed from the principal cornet chair at the Foss Dyke Band. Chris joins Flowers on second cornet. Also on the cornet bench comes Ian Kershaw who for many years has played with the Birmingham Citadel Band of the Salvation Army. Completing the new signings is Tim Malpas who fills the vacant Flugel chair. Tim was a long serving member of the Cwmaman Institute Band.

Flowers Band's musical director Paul Holland stated "I'm thrilled that we have been able to complete the signings of these four quality players in time for the National Finals and I am sure that they will contribute greatly to the team that we are currently building here at Flowers".
