OK folks only 3 seats left. The bus is paid for but we still need a few more cornets to offset the tremendous sound that will be eminating from the basses, trombones, euphs, baris, horns and not to forget Well Worth It boy on the kit (when he's not watching the lady boys :) )

We are now prepared to offer a few carrots to get the last numbers filled up. So come on you know you want to come but were just hanging on to see what we were prepared to offer. Well the offers been made - get in touch.

In addition the 4 front row cornets will be so grateful to any more that turn up they'll probably want to buy all your beer as well

Are there any players on here in Holland, Belgium or Luxemburg who would like to help us out while we are in Holland? Playing at Six Flags, Amsterdam, Haarlem, Maastricht, Nijmegen and Arnhem.

Nick as you're sat next to the Well Worth It boy perhaps you should leave your skirt at home.

You looked very fetching on the thread for Dukeries

    http://www.themouthpiece.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=8725

but by the third posting it just goes to show "when you've seen one bloke in a skirt you've seen them all". Although orange waistcoats are the requirment for Network Rail.

Perhaps Francis was insinuating that only one female is going on the trip....

No but we have one "girl" (can't name names too many people read this).

Nice to see you're still around then. Think BBSBB got an additional BBb and front row cornet interested in joining. Think they are having auditions for 2nd man down tomorrow night. I've had to decline your dep position at the Mayor's Parade and Silkstone March Contest due to prior commitment with Guggen Band (he said in a sambasque way) .

    tMPers

I was just curious who all the tMPers are that are going. I've been working on compiling a list so I could work on names before I get there. So far I have (in score order)...

    Conductor - ploughboy
    Cornet – yorkshirepuddin
    Horn - BBCbari
    Trombone – timbloke
    Bass Trombone – sunny_jimbob?
    EEb bass – tubafran
    BBb bass – Pythagoras
Percussion – Well Worth It boy

Did Sparkling Quavers agree to go?
There were quite a few others that commented on th trip too, but didn't post publicly if they were going.

Also, what time will the ferry from Harwick be departing?

Hi Pat that list is about complete save for one other player that has pm'd me and I'm waiting for him to confirm. Not sure if Sparkly can get she has band job same week, but we are hoping as I'm sure she would not want to miss meeting you.

Not sure what time ferry leaves Harwick but we're leaving Harwich at 10.45am Saturday 21 August.

    Re: tMPers

    I am confused :? I guess I made a spelling error... :?

Anyways the ferry from HARWICH to HOOK OF HOLLAND leaves at 10.45 am.

That is where I imagine we'll met up with you all. If you see somebody you don't recognize carrying a euphonium with a clueless person next to her, that will be my wife and I (although she might force me to be chivalrous and carry here horn for her, in which case it would be the clueless person carrying the horn. )

Just make sure you get the ferry on the right day. Went on holiday with my parents once and we arrived at Hull, checked in at the ferry, only to be told that our tickets were for tomorrows sailing!!!

I also think you should have a drink or 7 for me in holland in my absence. Daniel of course shall down his 7 in approximately 45.456 seconds but everyone else needn't keep up. Francis, ensure that your 7 aren't "out of round" as Mr Craig would often have you believe!! And all make sure that Tim doesn't randomly decide to walk home by himself as he is prone to do, I've heard the North Sea is quite deep! Man I wish I was coming too, but I'm muchos skintos!
