Hi there, I wondered if I could pick the brains of my fellow tmpers.

I have recently come across an old festival straight tenor trombone, small/medium bore, roughly 7" bell in silver plate and was wondering if anyone knows who produced this instrument.

There's nothing on the bell to indicate the maker just some fancy engraving with FESTIVAL in the middle.
any help on this matter would be great

I think it is an old Salvation Army model, I seem to remember adverts and pictures of it in one of the old general series journals

Thanks very much Peter, that's probably why it seemed familiar. Will have a root round the bandroom to see if I can find one of the journals. Thanks again.
