As a loyal but realistic Oldham supporter, I think our trip to Goodison will conclude our participation.

I am very optimistic that West Ham will still be in the FA Cup by the end of the year.

    2008 is another matter!

Well I suppose we could have got tought Premiership opposition (Birmingham), still don't think we can realistically progress any further than we have tho. We're just too hit and miss so far this season.

C'mon the terriers tho, give it a damn good go!!!

Well last year Man U were beaten by southend and before that drew with Burton Albion.
Chelsea were held by the terriers a couple of years ago

    Up the Latics!!

Over Christmas, I wore my scarf while carolling, and another Oldham supporter came up to me in Rugby Sainsbury's. I thought, if we're both here, who's gone to the match?

The replay will be at the Hammers favourite ground (that's anywhere except at home....) so city will get a trouncing!

    Good point!!
Away season ticket holders are currently getting better value than us!! (apart from the magnificent ManU result of course)

Just finished watching my beloved geordies stumbling and fumbling their way to a 0-0 draw with stoke city.

Alan Shearer's just said Stoke were the better team over the 90 minutes... and I can't disagree with that. They were well organised, workmanlike, played at a high tempo, and kept their shape the whole 90 minutes.

However with four or five players above 6ft in the stoke side, Newcastle's insistence on playing the long ball is pretty inexplicable.

It's a pretty fair comment on our performance that Nicky Butt - defensive minded to say the least - was the only one willing to have a pop from the edge of the area, and Steven Taylor the centre-half was arguably our best player!

The replay at St Jim's will be a different matter, and I think the Mags should win through - however if stoke play as well as they did tonight, they'd certainly deserve a place in the fourth round if they beat us.

But I hope they don't get it....
