Has anyone ever had issues with PDFCreator exporting from Sibelius (I use 5)?
I spent hours and hours trying different options and everytime I printed the file into a PDF the writing ended up going vertically downwards all over the page.

I finally found Primo PDF and it worked instantly !!

Such a time consuming process just to get my composition ready to submit for the Kirklees Competition at Uni...

Or did I miss something blatantly obvious with PDFCreator? Either way it's fine now, thank goodness!

I use PDF Creator with Sibelius (5 and now 6) and have no problems. Glad you've sorted it out but if you need help send me a PM.

CutePDF is a good solution too - albeit it insists on installing the Ask.com toolbar on your system at the same time.

Remove the toolbar, keep cutePDF, problem solved.

I've had this issue. Sibelius 2 allowed you to create a .pdf file from within the application, but later versions don't.

As I'm a hard-up musician, does anyone know of a freeware pdf creator?

The aforementioned CutePDF ( which is free ) works just like a printer I use it all the time.

I would emphasise what Thirteen Ball said...CutePDF.

It's free and one of the best out there..recommend it.

Another vote for CutePDF (well, works ok with Finale, at any rate ... )

A Mac may very well have bundled software including a .pdf creator, but you would have paid heavily for it at the point of sale. Nothing in Macworld comes for free!

Not as different as you might wish, Barry - PDF995 is my pdf editor of preference too! :)

Agree with everyone that says Cute is good - I use it all the time - no problems so far.......

And I'm pretty thick when it comes to anything vaguely technological.
