Lofthouse 2000 Brass Band are pleased to announce that Simon Martindale, Bb Bass player of the world famous Brighouse and Rastrick Band has taken on the role of conducting the Junior Band. Simon brings with him a wealth of experience playing with Championship Section Bands, winning just about every possible trophy along the way.

Simon’s arrival has allowed Tim Sidwell to concentrate his efforts on directing the recently formed Youth Band and offer one to one tuition to members of all three bands.

Currently Lofthouse 2000 Brass Band has many instruments waiting to be played and welcomes players of any age and ability, from complete beginners to experienced players. Tuition is available on all brass instruments and percussion. Many players have progressed through the ranks from the Junior band to the Senior band. So why not come down for a blow?

Rehearsals take place at Lofthouse Methodist Church on Leeds Road just outside Wakefield and Leeds.

    Senior Band – Thursday 7pm & Saturday 10am
    Youth Band – Monday 7pm
    Junior Band – Saturday 10am

For further information please contact the Band Secretary (Vicky Whitaker) on 01924 896695 or recruitment@lofthouseband.org. Or visit our website at http://www.lofthouseband.org
