Is there still an arrangement of the Serenade from Drigo's (?) Les Ballet des Harlequins as a Euph Solo.
I recall playing a manuscript arrangement with the now defunct Bradford Victoria Band in the 1960's - a beautiful melody performed immaculately by Arthur Atkinson, the talented son of the Conductor, the esteemed band MD/Adjudicator, Tom.F.Atkinson.

Morgan Griffiths recorded it with Fairey FP (Music) Band on a CD called Virtuosi which was released in October 2003 so it must be out there somewhere!

The original is an old B & H publication. Steve Mead featured an arrangement a tone higher in G by Denzil Stevens.

  5. I played serenade last season so yes it is still around and it was a fairly old arrangement so it may be the same one you are looking for?

Just Music list two versions of the Drigo Serenade, including the Denzil Stephens one, which is published by Sarnia Music.
