We are going to recreate the experiment in the office. Stand two people opposite each other and get them to sneeze at the same time!

Much cheaper than what the Swiss have done!

I rather liked the attached cartoon by Mac. The caption has one of the scientists saying "Remind me, how much did we spend on this thing?"

Isn't today just the begining of the end of the world - apparently it'll take up to 4 years before the mini black-holes that are going to be created start to have a visible effect - a large light is going to appear from the Indian Ocean and other places before the world becomes a pulsar or something similar and everything gets sucked in. Wonder where we'll all end up and do you think there still be a JP in this alternate universe?
  7. Aslong as there are more brass bands where we are going

sorry to burst your bubble, but if it had have happened then it would have been at 8:30 so your plans would have been futile.

... which takes us to 2012, and the end of the Mayan 'long count' calendar

Ah well, got time for a couple of beers, then. ;)

Nope - it's got to warm up like any good science experiment....well, cool down really I suppose.

I'm hoping it'll create an antimatter version of Songs of the Quay so we get annihilation

    No....just Songs of the Quay.....for now ;)

You can imagine it now - a singularity over the Jet d'Eau into which we could cast all the unwanted stuff...
