The Music Page is delighted to announce that it will be providing a free
live stream of all performances at the English National Brass Band
    Championships, on Saturday - at www.themusicpage.com .

Due to unprecendented popularity of the stream from the recent the All
England Masters some users were unable to connect to The Music Page at the
time of competition. Since then, additional server capacity has been added
to ensure that there are no problems for the ENBBC.

Videos of performances from the All England Masters as well the 2008
Australian Band Championships are currently available to view on demand on
    The Music Page.

Well lets hope that this coverage lives up to the hype this time round and I will actually see some live streaming of the contest and not watch it several days after the event.

Should be a cracking contest and a good test piece. Not many ‘cup of tea’ bands at this contest. Can’t wait :woo

This contest is going to be a real cracker. Also, with the web streaming involved, should be a very entertaining day. All done in the comfort of your own home!

What is all the barking and quacking about. Nice piece.

I thought Fishburn's national anthem was equally good both times.

Is the Fairey's stream cutting out on your PCs? Shame, as they sound good given the quality of it.

Who let the Dog's out ??

I'm sitting here at work doing a 12hr shift watching the ENBBC,.... just great,.. then suddenly the dog's & ducks arrive,... what is the barking and quacking about it's ruining my morning,... oh hang on boss in a minute i'm just watching Faireys on Tele.

Great stuff this,.. cannot wait for Dyke & Grimethorpe to play hopefully by then the dog's & duck's queue'd parts will be no more and the video will stop freezing,...

Damn you live video stream,.... play properly !!

I thought it was my cat choking lol.

Still cutting out every so often.

Heard three and a half and bored with it now too. Off to watch cricket instead.

The 'jazzy' trom bit is a little cheesy though ...

Yes, and the Irish Jig bit. Also the slow tune in the middle section sounds awfully like Paganini Variations.

... and a teaspoonful or two of Isaiah 40 mixed in as well. Such is life!

Cornets just playing what could have been an extract from the suite "Here they come!", written for the Canadian Staff Band!

Peter, since you probably know more about his writing than I do, have your expectations been met for this piece?

It just sounds like a gaggle of geese sandwiched between two hymn tunes

Not sure yet - too many interruptions in the feed, and sound not as clear as I would have liked. Should be able to say more once I've heard at least one proper performance (only logged on half way through YBS, and Carlton Main has just cut out completely  )
