Following on from their recent success at the Regional Championships where the Egham Band won first prize in the second section, they are now in the final stages of preparing for a major concert in Egham on the evening of Saturday 19 May.

Working closely with the Egham & District Music Club, the Band has put together a programme of music which was originally written specifically for brass bands by some of our finest British composers. Visitors to the Egham & District Music Club on Saturday will hear some inspirational compositions by Elgar, Holst, Howells, Bantock and Arnold. Gareth Green, conductor of the Egham Band has carefully selected original brass band music, which is not often heard in traditional concert settings owing to the demands placed on the musicians and the requirement for an acoustic building where the music can be fully appreciated.

The concert starts at 7.30 at the United Church of Egham in the High Street and the Egham & District Music Club would be delighted to welcome non-members for whom a charge will be made at the door. The charge for non-members for this event is £10 (some concessions are available)
