We would like to introduce the formation of a brand new ensemble: the Edinburgh Brass Band, which aims to be a fun and vibrant group providing a welcoming atmosphere for players of all standards.

The committee, comprising members of local bands from a range of sections, believed there was need for a community brass band based within Edinburgh, without a strong emphasis on competition. As such the Edinburgh Brass Band has been created to provide a sociable ensemble with an emphasis on regular performances in a variety of settings from smaller ensembles to full concerts.

The band, to be conducted by Mark Bell, will rehearse on Friday evenings at 7pm in St John's Church Hall, on the corner of Lothian Road and Princes Street with our first practice on Friday 13th April 2012. We welcome all brass and percussion players to come along and join us.

If you have any questions, enquiries, or are interested in an extra practice on a Friday night, please send us an email, visit our website, or find us on Facebook.
