    Thanks Roger,

For those of you who played last year, Easingwold March and Deportment Contest needs no introduction.....it's a helluva night out!!
For the uninitiated......it is, in style, a one-off Whit Friday Contest. 20 or so bands converge on this small North Yorkshire market town and make the evening their own. Each band does a circuit of the market place (where they are marked on deportment), before performing a contest march on the stage.
tMP have the prestigious task of opening the evening. There are no restraints on player numbers for this band, so, all who wish to play can. In fact, the bigger band we put out, the better for tMP.
Don't be shy or nervous about coming forward. We are not looking to field a Championship band. Being a part of the banding community is what tMP is all about and that goes for tMP Easingwold. So everyone who can make it is very welcome.
The itinerary is likely to be......

3.30-4.00pm Meet outside The George Hotel in the market place.
4.00pm Quick rehearsal in the Galtres Centre car park (nearby)
    4.30 (TBC) Begin the festivities.
4.45- Collapse!! Attempt to drink dry the numerous pubs around the market place! :guiness

As you may have read on previous posts, this contest is a great night out. The streets and pubs are filled to bursting with the good, bad and ugly from the banding world. So, if you can make it, (even if you have to play with your own band later) join up with tMP Easingwold.....
Go on....you know you want to!!!

    Sud.
