The Eagley Band are delighted to have qualified for the National Brass Band Finals in Harrogate. The Bolton band came second out of a tough field of 20 brass bands at the Regional Finals in Blackpool on Sunday 9th of March.

"It’s an incredible achievement, " said the delighted band chairman, Lee Tramontana. "The band deserve it for all the work and effort that goes into competing and to come second is absolutely fantastic ! "

Eagley Band, now based in Blackrod, have not qualified for the National Finals for 18 years.

"I’m so proud of the band. They performed brilliantly on stage and thoroughly deserved to finish in the top two. Now the real work begins, " said musical director, Gareth Westwood.

Eagley Band would like to thank Gareth for his hard work in preparing the band for Blackpool and would especially like to thank Grenville Moore, who took over the baton the week before the contest and conducted the band on stage. The band is now busy preparing a challenging programme for their forthcoming engagements.

Eagley Band are also on the hunt for sponsorship. If you would like your company’s name to be associated with the band please get in touch with the band through their website, www.eagleyband.co.uk.
