Almost since the results were announced we have been receiving enquiries as to when our Triple DVD of Highlights from the 2008 Brass in Concert Championship and World of Brass in Concert would be available.

We are pleased to say that the project has been signed off and is currently in manufacture. The official release date is Saturday 7th March 2009 although we are hoping to have a few copies available at the North West Regional Brass Band Championships on Sunday 1st March.

The product will be available to pre-order on the World of Brass website next week but, if you'd rather not wait until then, our Mail Order department will be pleased to take your order now.

In the meantime, you can watch this 3 minute video trailer on YouTube which gives just the briefest of tasters to what will be one of our best-selling DVDs of the year.

Can anybody work out what Garry Cutt says halfway through the fodens clip?

I thought maybe he was saying "retard" to me or "richard" to the lad next me...lol

It looked like "I love you" which could be slightly more disturbing... But I'm no lip reader...

Got the DVD today - must say, big improvement on last year's.

Last year's (2007) seemed to have lost that "wow" factor a little than previous years.

Only flicked through quickly at lunch but was really surprised at the quality of playing for 2008, bit dissapointed by B&R mind you... Cory was just Brill. Grimethorpe had a better selection and better stage presence with M Garasi leading them.

Will watch the others in full tonight.

    Nice graphics as well.

    Well done to the editors!

The titles said arr. Griffiths so that could be Morgan Griffiths?

I do believe however it may have been editted by the band's 2nd baritone player Richard Rock, but I may have been mistaken.

Why I am mentioning it, the reason being is because I have made an arrangement to, and Black Dyke Band played this in one of their rehearsals , before their summer break. At this moment, I believe that its either in the vaults of their library or Mr Nicholas Childs has it!!!

I remember working on this piece for the contest and it was a joint effort on the arrangement front Between Morgan Griffiths and Richard Rock.
