Has this duet ever been arranged for band?

You can hear it a lot on Classic FM at the moment.

If it's the same one I'm thinking of, it's been done for 2 euphs.

Strangely enough if it hadn't i would have asked Steve Booth to arrange it for two Euphs.

Does anyone know of the publisher? or even a recording of it.

Come on Peter Bale. Get your thinking cap on.

Yeh it has been arranged for 2 Euphoniums and is called
    Deep Inside the Sacred Temple.
Arranged by K. Wilkinson and is published by Studio Music in London

It can be heard on the following recordings:

Actually, the Euphs dont mind - providing they breathe in the right place and play loud enough  - (private joke) - its the 1st Bari that is likely to kick up. They get to be a brass harp all on their own - something it takes a whole band to do normally!

Once our conductor wanted to hear it played, but our eupho player "suddenly" felt sick. So he made us baritones play it. Afterwards he thought t sounded better on baritones.

I agree that it works well with two baritones, and if I remember correctly my dad's arrangement for two baris is available from Godiva Music (not online, but look out for the trade stall at the conference in manchester).

    www.justmusicuk.com lists two versions:

Pearl Fishers' Duet, for trom & euph, arr Fernie

Deep Inside the Sacred Temple, for two euphs, arr Wilkinson

Log on and use the search function in Brass Bands for further details.

Have a look in the library at Bongs we used to play it years ago with Roland and Lyndsay on bari and euph. Ask Charlie for it, it is called Deep in Side the Sacred Temple arr. Wilkinson.

Be sure to give our best wishes to the band.

Spooky! We played this last night for the first time.
I agree with the others it is a lovely piece of music, especially if both of your Euphs have a nice sound.

It's very nice when the piece works  But it's hard for younger players without proper breath support to keep up the top line  (although mine's finally getting better!)
It's really nice though and allows a nice contrast to other concert pieces! :D

Yeah remember that when you miss a job, I stand in and I'm asked to play the 1st bari part on a trombone. (actually it was a good exercise)
