I hope this is the right forum to post this query on.

I am searching for some music, but I do not know who it was recorded by, or what it's called.

Not a great start, I'll grant you, but for the football fans amongst you, you will know it as the music that plays in the background on the Radio 5 Live sports report at about 5pm on a Saturday.

The rhythm to the tune sort of goes: "duh-duh duh-duh duh-duh duh-duh duh duh-duh-duh duh-duh" etc.

    Can anyone help?

    By golly that's it!

Like you say, it's the middle section and a slightly different arrangement, but that is unmistakeably it!

Many, many thanks. Just have to source a copy now!!

MattB - You are quite right. The theme used for Sports Report on Radio 5 Live is a march called "Out of the Blue" by Hubert Bath (the guy who also wrote "Freedom").

Just as a passing comment, it seems that when people are looking for music it can usually be sourced at Just Music http://www.justmusicuk.com

It would probably be a good Idea, that if you are looking for a title, why not try them first, or even Just Brass http://www.justbrass.co.uk

If it's not there, phone the PRS and they will be able to tell you who publishes it and/or subsequent arrangments.

If you're looking for the name of a TV tune, the MCPS will be able to you out in the same respect as the PRS. 'Mechanical Copyright' is where music has been recorded on any media, shown on TV, played on Radio, music for synchronisation (Film)

If you try these sources, you should be able to find it on your own without any problems, hopefully ;)
