For anyone in Southern Ontario, Mountain Citadel in Hamilton will host its annual Blazing Brass concert on Saturday, February 10th.

Guest soloist will be Derek Lance, trumpet player in the famed West Point Military Academy band and member of the New York Staff Band. Peterborough SA Band will also take part.

Of special note, the night will feature the world premiere of a new piece by Lorne Barry called Coronation. Lorne is most well known as a composer for his piece Credo (recorded by the ISB on the Jubilee CD) and has strong connections with Mountain Citadel.

If anyone needs more details, let me know.

Easy for you to say Craig. Actually, I already did (but very gently); she's changed "our" plans so I can go to the Hannaford Festival on March 3.

Fair enough, I will give you that one. Will be good to hear the NYSB live again. (BTW - my wife makes me choose between band programs and golf!)
