I've just enjoyed the Black Dyke Arts Festival on-line. Superb performance I thought, esp Mr Marshall  Obviously Mr B Baker, Solo Trom, couldn't be there, who did they bring in, and from where!

Paul used to be the 2nd trom, but is a more than capable/excellent player for the top chair. Pressures of work means he has had to step down from regular banding, so inorder to retin his services he is used as a stand in for Brett, when he is off soloiing, and he forms parts of the Black Dyke trom quartet as well.

Not greedy, just a seemingly very efficient way of using the best resource that you have when it is available.
