Does anyone know who arranged Deep Harmony as played by Black Dyke on the 150 years of Black Dyke CD? You know, the arrangement with 3 verses, the first with muted cornets...

    Cheers,

If it's got muted cornets 1st verse and euph countermelody 2nd verse, it's by Roy Newsome

As it was recorded in the first part of the 20th century (?1938) I think not ;) :
" Deep Harmony, conducted by Arthur O. Pearce, Handel Parker arr.
    Broadhead "

Ah, but I've neither seen the disc, nor heard it :D (or even looked on WoB for the description ;) ) - although it's on my buying list.

...and Roy's arrangement is consistent with the rest of the description

Agreed I loved playing that, it's one of my favourite "hymn" type concert pieces :tup

Thanks Fiona and Roy, glad you enjoy playing the arrangement. If anyone would like to listen to the arrangement via Sibelius Scorch, click on the link below.
