Gresley Colliery Band are sad to announce that their conductor of 3 and a half years David Hutchinson will be leaving the band and going to live in Spain.
An Advert as been placed in Recriutment Section Of the mouthpiece site
David will be saying farewell to Gresley Colliery Band when the band have recorded their CD this month.

David as came to the band in October 2002 when the band were not in a good position but and made a instant impression on the band and formed a great happy relationship with them over the period.
In 2003 (David's first contest with the band) the band Qualifed for the National Championships by coming 3rd in the Midland Area against all odds. They went on to gain 8th at the National Finals playing off Number 1 and had a 3rd Prize at Butlins Contest in the same year.
The improvement that the band have made under David's direction has been 2nd to none and the band are most grateful to him for it.

The concerts they have done under David have been a Sell Out on every occasion and also have been most impressive with seeing the band been asked back for the following year on more than one occasion.
David will be missed by all of Gresley Colliery Band Members and Concert goers as well.

On behalf of Gresley Band through this site we would like to wish DAVID all the very best for the Future in SPAIN.
He will be missed and will be always be welcome into the band room whenever he visits over to England
Many Thanks for the time he has been with us.
