    I have a couple

The first one was on the march in Belfast with the music school A band. When we started it was spitting (peter Kay Quote!!). we got part of the way there and it got heavier so MD (Jules cornet) shouted to up the pace. this happened numerous times until in the end Jules just shouted RUN!!!!. the whole band started to leg it down the road for all its worth. what a site it must have been.

There was another rainy incident at that music school which involved hiding behind a cricket pavillion at 4am in a field of cows, the cows then gave us a standing ovation!!

The other one is when the Troops band were in Bath (the place not one you fill with water!!). We had just got our Brand new tunics and we were at the open air when the heavens opened without any warning. we marched back so quickly we overtook a double decker bus which was in the inside lane. A pigeon also managed to dive bomb on my brand new tunic ( the first of four splatterings that week!!)

    1. Brighouse March contest earlier this year. Absolutely pee'd it down on us and stopped just in time for everyone else. (most annoying thing was that the organisers told the second band on that they could use the gazebo if it rained while they were playing!!) Bleedin' charming!!!:x

    2. Yorkshire co-op 5-a-side footy competition earlier this year. We had a game of torrential downpour footy against Pennine Brass. Don't think I've ever been out in heavier rain in my life!! Jolly good fun tho, and well done to Pennine who deservedly beat us 2-1. :-D (they could swim faster than us!)

    1) I have played a crown green bowls match on an almost water logged green whilst it has been hammering down.

    2) Stood in the river Trent with the water above my knees fishing, whilst it was raining.

    3) Been on a night acitivity helping with the scouts getting absolutely drenched.

Remembrance day a few years back. Was playing with Colchester Citadel SA band , and earlier that week we had just taken delivery of a nice new set of general series favourite marches / selections.Took them out that day.Rained.Hard.Ordered a new set on the monday.

By the way , sure I have a DVD somewhere called "Crazy Wet Adventures".Picked it up in one of those specialist shops in Soho if memory serves....
