crazy fundraising for dundee

    any one who's going to dundee had any crazy fundraising ideas! well our 2nd cornet player jamie whent from our band room all the way to where were playing in dundee on his road bike, hw set off on the monday and got there thursday afternoon! mad or what! but he raised top side ov 700 pound's!!! well done to jamie! also we had a fancy dress pub crawl round hebden bridge which was fun! managed to raise about 100 pound,
    pint in each pub (10 pubs) and a quize as we whent round! what a night! u should try it! good laugh

    well done! we have had a "school disco", a 60's and 70's night, quizzes, raffles, extra concerts, recipe books, dance band night, collections , donations etc etc!!

    I conduct Long Eaton Silver Prize Band in the 4th section and we come from Long Eaton, near Nottingham and Derby. We have had to raise £3,500!, not quite managed it though :cry: , we are all chipping in! what about you?

    Lanner & District Silver Band have had to raise £5k to get us to Dundee! Very long trip but funds have been raised through sponsored half marathons & drum marathons as well as many gigs etc.

    play for hebden bridge we had to raise 5k aswell pluse where making a cd soon aswell so thats more money! but weve managed to raise most ov the 5k but band members had to chip in a little bit and suporters had to pay a bit more that us, about 8 hour drive for us! arrrrrr
