Craig Paterson Celebration Concert A charity concert is to be held to celebrate the life of Craig Paterson, the tenor horn player tragically killed in a road accident on 16 February 2006. The event, to take place in Livingston's Howden Park Centre on Sunday 7 May at 7.30 pm, will feature the bands with which Craig was closely associated during his playing career and is supported by West Lothian Council, which has generously provided the venue free of charge. Broxburn and Livingston Band will open the concert under its conductor Mark Bell, followed by a band made up of former members of West Lothian Schools Band, led by Nigel Boddice and with which Craig was proud to have performed at the WLSBB 30th Anniversary Concert in October last year. His final band, Whitburn, will close the bands' individual spots under the baton of Michael Marzella before a massed band, again conducted by Nigel Boddice and featuring some of Craig's favourite works, closes the proceedings. Any former members of WLSBB wishing to play should contact Alan Edmond by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or on 07875 536760 by Friday 21 April. Tickets, priced £7.50 & £5.00, are available now from the Box Office at Howden Park Centre on 01506 433634.
