Needing a cornet duet for boy wonder and his dad to play at a couple of comps. Got the usual ones out of soloists companion and the rubank series - any suggestions for some others? Something pretty showy would be great. Cheers folks! :D

Glorious Ventures sounds promising - any idea who publishes it? Heard a quartet of elephant walk  a duet could be fun - is it in print?

    Peter Graham's Gramercy Music:

Not clear though whether this is the solo or duet version - may be worth giving them a ring.

"Wonderful words" by Wilfred Heaton may be worth considering, or Peter Graham's "Quicksilver". Also recently published is Bruce Broughton's "To set the people free".

Although scored for 2X euphs, I think the Fast Fingered Fandango would sound well on 2X cornets. Get in touch with Bruce Fraser, he may have a piano accompaniment. Complete recording (mp3) on site.

I think that the Xylophone duet Two Imps has been done for cornets. Don't know the publisher or arranger though.

A band I played with featured it in an entertainment contest and it was well received.
