Coppull & Standish Band are looking for a BBb bass player to complete our line up for Preston and the Area. We're in the 3rd section in the North West and the 4th nationally, and we're reasonably ambitious - but we don't forget that banding should primarily be fun, with plenty of activity on the social side as well! We've got exciting plans for the next year or so, so why not come and rediscover how much fun banding can be? Rehearsals are 8.00 - 9.45 Tuesday and Thursday in our own bandroom in Coppull, between Chorley and Wigan.

Contact me by PM, Teresa Trumble on 07769 907312 (email:, or Kath Deakin on 07708 400 732.

I should just clarify this; for those who know Martin, our current PC, he isn't going anywhere. It's just that, despite his boundless commitment and undoubted musical ability, he's been itching to get off that end chair for ages! So he asked, when we advertise for a front row player, that we make it clear that the end chair is available for the right player and the current players are quite happy to shuffle down a seat.

In the meantime we still have these vacancies open, contact Teresa or Tony if you're interested. Even if you're not, we welcome any players who want to pop down for a blow while their own bands have a summer break.
