Have you ever played for a wind band and wished they would rehearse pieces properly as is done at most brass bands?
Well I have found one that does.:p
Silver Spectrum Wind Band is a recently formed band in Sheffield which contains some very good players including many peri teachers.
It was formed by players who are too old for the music services bands but wished to carry on playing at a high standard, and is conducted by Clive Scott.
We are entering our first contest on 21st January and is would be usefull to have some more players although we can go with the current band.
If you are a player aged 18 or over and play any wind band instrument then we would be pleased to see you.
We would be even more delighted if you play one of the following instruments :-
    French Horn, Bassoon, Percussion

I know this is Brass Band forum but most musicians mix with many other musicians, so if you know of anyone who might be interested then please pass this information on.
