    Congratulations from PolySteel

Despite the bitter disappointment of narrowly missing out on qualification to the National finals by one position, the Gloucester based PolySteel Band is looking onwards and upwards and now preparing itself for its busy schedule ahead, which includes concerts and competing in the forthcoming inaugural English Brass Band Championships on 1 July in the prestigious Lowry Centre.

The band’s performance at the West of England Regional Championships in Torquay’s Riviera Centre, may not have earned it a trip to London’s Royal Albert Hall in October, but it did give the band it’s third top three placing in three months, following its second place at the Yeovil Entertainments Contest in February and its fantastic win at the Butlins Mineworkers Open Brass Band Festival in January, where the band swept away the rest of the field to claim the top spot and £6000 prize money.

However, despite its own disappointment, PolySteel would like to congratulate its compatriots Mount Charles and Camborne who did qualify for the Finals and wish both bands every success in their preparation and performances in London.

    Here Here!!

Well done to Camborne and Mount Charles.
Unlucky Polysteel. I know that you guys were bitterly disappointed as your faces looked very similar to ours in the bar afterwards. It's good to see you publicly congratulating those who did qualify.

    See you at the Masters.
