CONDUCTOR LOOKING FOR A BAND (Yorkshire, Cleveland, North)

My name is Lee Whitworth and as of 15th July I will be looking for a new MD post. I have been conducting for about 4 years, starting with Beadle Brass Band. I have also help out Northallerton Silver Band (none contesting) and Boldon Colliery (1st Section). Whilst posted out in Cyprus I work with The Royal Air Force Akrotiri (Voluntary) Band and also helped with The Cyprus Music Services. My last post was with The Ripon City Band (3rd Section) which I have just resigned from after two and half years. On taking over the band they were a 4th section band with a good reputation. Since I have been there they have been promoted to the 3rd section, enlarge the following and had some good results in entertainment contests.
I am a member of Her Majesties Armed Forces and play in The Heavy Cavalry & Cambrai Band based in Catterick North Yorks. I have good support from my management at work and they are keen for me to further my conducting.

I would like a 1st, 2nd or 3rd section brass band, but would consider any other section or ensemble. I am an enthusiastic person with a professional out look. I want to work with people that want to improve not just their own playing standard but the standard of the ensemble. I also like to socialise as I feel this gives band members a chance to gel together. I am willing to travel approximately an hour from my location.

I just wanted to thank all the people who have offered me auditions. I am at present staying with Ripon for the foreseeable future.

If any bands do however need a Dep for rehearsals or a concert please get in touch and if I can help I will do.
