Conductor’s Course at Uppingham Brass Band Summer School

Following on from the announcement that The Brass Band Summer School is moving to Uppingham Public School in 2007, after being at Bromsgrove since 1999 and for seventeen years before that at Brookes College, Oxford, the Directors and staff are delighted to announce further plans. In parallel with the Summer School at Uppingham, there is to be a Conductor’s Course which will be under the expert guidance and supervision of Alan Morrison, who was recently confirmed as Musical Director of the Brighouse & Rastrick Band, Steve Sykes, who is a very successful conductor as well as a tuba virtuoso and Brass Band Summer School Course Director, Maestro Richard Evans.

The Conductor’s Course will commence on Monday 12th August and conclude on Friday 16th August. There are a maximum of 12 places available and the course fee will be £395.

There has been an excellent take up for places for the Summer School and there are now a limited number of places available.

For more details and application forms for the Conductor’s Course, as well as applications for the Summer School itself, please contact Philip Biggs on either 01223 234090 or 07710 505689.
