Bath Spa band are proud to announce that Sheona White will be performing as a guest soloist in their concert at the Guildhall in Bath on 21st April. This will be followed by a workshop Masterclass session the following morning at the Arts Barn, University of Bath. This is open to all brass band instrumentalists. Sheona is a world-class tenor horn player formerly with the YBS band and is the horn tutor at the University of Salford. In 1996 Sheona won the BBC Radio 2 Young Musician of the Year award and is frequently invited to perform at concerts around the world. The band is delighted to have this opportunity to perform with such an internationally popular musician. The event is in association with Dorothy House, a charity offering physical, psychological, social and spiritual care to patients and their families facing life threatening illness, death or bereavement. The proceeds from the concert and workshop will be shared with this charity.
