My comp wont let me open windows from a link. Is there anyway to resolve this.

I.e., if i were to click www.randomlink.com it would just have a box, and then almost crash.

    Rebooting doesn't help!

    Cheers

    HBB :D

Sounds terminally virusy. Had a similar problem a while back, the while system went on a total go slow, couldn't open my computer (windows explorer). Ended up trashing everything and re-installing. :(

    Need more information...

    1) What operating system?
    2) Go to Start, Run, type "Msconfig", press enter, go to the startup tab, list everything that's in there.
    3) If on Windows XP, can you open Task Manager (Right click taskbar, select Task Manager) and see what takes over all your system resources at that point?
    4) If none of the above can help us, give us a list of your running processes from Task Manager.
    5) What virus checker did you use?

Are you use a Firewall? Then its possible that these popups are blocked...

Otherwise its possible that your browser not accept javascript (blocked)....

    Actxprxy.dll
    Oleaut32.dll
    Mshtml.dll
    Browseui.dll
    Shell32.dll
