Just want to wish all our friends at fellow Essex bands Redbridge (particularly as ive had the pleasure of guesting with them recently!!!!) and Aveley & Newham the best of luck, representing L&SC at the RAH on Saturday.

As for the rest of the bands- welcome to our patch! Cor blimey guv'nor, knees up mother brown!!! ;)

I second that! Let's hope they can show that proper Brass Bands can exist south of the wash!

judging from recent years' efforts, London and Pride just about sums up these bands' preparations

18th and 20th would be surprising, although maybe next year will be better, when one of the best bands in the area moves up into the top section

Youve been mistaken, we didnt get promotion this year!!! ;)

Seriously though, thats a very patronising and dangerous statement you have made! Have you been to the RAH in recent years and seen how well Redbridge, A&N, Alliance, etc have done? Have you not noticed that L&SC bands are now winning or coming very high in the lower section finals in previous years? Surely we are closing the gap?

Your comments are very patronising to the likes of R'dbridge, A&N, Alliance, Zone 1, Welwyn, etc, to assume that YOUR band (presumably Staines?) will just walk it next year. One thing ive noticed when playing with some of the bands listed above is that they are in a league of their own down here, the equivalent of the chelsea/man u/****nal thing in the premiership.

I think today theyll do much better than 18th and 20th, we'll wait and see! ;)
