Now is the season for Christmas playing. My fingers this year quickly become cold, stiff and sore. Any recomendations for warm flexible gloves that will allow me to play and keep warm.:)

I used to use some mountain biking gloves. Sounds hilarious but they are skintight and you can buy them in black so they arent as obvious. And they are very warm. Make sure you buy the full glove and not the fingerless ones if you do though

Black silk runner's gloves, 2 layers if needed.

Get a good pair of thermal 3 day eventing gloves from a good saddlery. Pricey but keeps you warm and easy to play in.

Only a personal view - and probably coloured by my woodwind background - I am always reluctant to play in gloves, no matter how cold, and would prefer to go for fingerless mittens every time.

Get some proper wool lined leather gloves and shake the tin instead of playing!!!! :)

Best of luck with the caroling, I imagine people will be a bit more reluctant this year, thanks to 'Dave' and his spending cuts.
