City of Cambridge Brass Band Churches tour 2007

    All Saints’ Parish Church, St Ives - 14th September 2007 - 20.00

Pre-National Finals performance and 2007 Concert tour finale

All Saints’ Parish Church will welcome the renowned City of Cambridge Brass Band, under their conductor, Peter Bassano, who will play a varied programme of music in the beautiful setting and excellent acoustics of the ancient parish church of the town. The national brass band finals contest takes place just two weeks after the concert in St Ives, so we can be sure that the Band will be performing to the very best of its ability and can look forward to some excellent musicianship.

The programme has been designed to illustrate the history of brass music and will provide entertaining, as well as serious, repertoire, played at the very highest standards.

Proceeds from the concert will go towards the All Saints’ Organ Fund, to support tonal improvements to the organ, including four new stops.

Tickets, costing £5 in advance, or £7 on the door, include a glass of wine and light refreshments. These may be ordered from John Rhodes on 01480 464874 or St Ives Vicarage on 01480 463254.
