I've just been having a discussion with my GCSE class about holidays and they were saying that my friends must all be jealous because I get such long holidays.

We break up on Tuesday (20th) and I'm off until the 9th Jan- what a treat.

I was wondering when other people are off during the festivities and who (yikes) might even be working during them.

:(I work nights and will be working 20.30 - 07.45 Christmas Day, Boxing Day and the 27th. I am disappointed that I won't be able to join the band when they they play around the village on Boxing Day as I will be in bed.

I have got New Year off though.

I finished today....Yeah...Don't go back till 3rd - this is quite a long break for me - but I did have loads of holiday left this year due to having 3 months off sick earlier in the year.

Absolutely. Nia, my wife, was particularly gutted at having to work last Christmas Day - with it only being Deian's 5th christmas, and Erin's 2nd. Thankfully, though she's working xmas eve this year, she's off xmas day and boxing day.

Me, I finish lunchtime next Thursday - then our work's xmas lunch then off for some ten-pin-bowling followed by some 'socialising'. Start back either the 3rd or 4th of January - should check which one really!
