Congratulations to the conductor and members of the Chorley Silver band who today performed at the daily memorial ceremony to those who fell in the First World War at the Menin gate in Ypres, Belgium. I am nothing to do with the band but happened to be in Ypres this evening to witness their part in the ceremony. All the youngsters under the baton of their conductor were a credit to their band, themselves, their parents and the British Brass Band family and should be proud of what they have just done. Well done each and every one of you.

Thank you so much for your kind comments, as a parent and Chair of the Band Committee we are very proud of all our players and as you rightly state they are a credit to themselves and great representatives of Chorley and the youth of today
