Chetham's Brass Days - 13th & 15th January

    Brass Teachers’ Day

    Chetham’s Brass Department is delighted to announce the third Brass Teachers’ Day, which will have a Low Brass emphasis and is for both specialists and non-specialists. Exchange ideas, meet other teachers and participate in specialist workshops in a stimulating event that is designed for today’s Brass Teacher.

    Items for the day include:
    - Low Brass Instruments lesson observation sessions.
    *NEW* delegates can bring a pupil with them to participate
    - High Brass Instrument lesson observation sessions
    - Brass Forum with a panel representing the Brass community
    - Celebrity Recital from James Gourlay (tuba) and David Thornton (euphonium)

    Admission Teacher £30. Accompanying Pupil £8 Includes refreshments and lunch

    Brass Students’ Day

    Calling all trumpet, cornet, flugelhorn, french horn, tenor horn, euphonium, trombone, bass trombone and tuba players! Following on from the successful Brass Students’ Day in May, Chetham’s presents another opportunity for players of all ages and abilities to work with Chetham’s Brass Department for a day of exciting activities.

    The day will include:
    - Brass Ensembles - improve your group-playing skills
    - Big Band Sessions - experience Chets’ excellent jazz programme
    - Lesson opportunities - develop one of your pieces with our teachers
    - Participants’ Concert - build confidence in performance situations

    Admission Participant £20
    Accompanying Parent / Observer £8
