As Man Utd finsihed second in thier group, they were being drawn against teams that had finished 1st in their groups.

No mistakes, thats the full draw!

First time Sir Alex has taken on Milan...
Shame Real didn't get a 'Brit' team.

Real are pants this year, although admitedly better than the Celts. I would expect Juve to win that tie, Barca to beat Chelsea, AC to beat Man U, and Arsenal and Liverpool to beat Bayern and Leverkusen respectively.

My tips for the next round!

Inter (probably on away goals. They've drawn 12 of their 15 league games!)
Liverpool (providing Gerrard stays free from injury)
    AC Milan
Bayern Munich (unless Arsenal can sort out their defending at set pieces!)

    A worried Gooner!

This is a great draw. Glad I have multi screen on Sky!!

    My picks:

    Chelsea (shock result I feel!)
Man Utd (as much as I'd like it to be different)
    Bayern Munich

Arsenal just can't do it in the Champions league.

Will be interesting to compare this after tyhe fixtures have been played next year.

Come on AC Milan, kick that Manc scum ass and show them they are not as good as they arrogantly think they are.

There again, as a Leeds fan what do I know about football..........

    Real Madrid v Juventus Real
FC Porto v Inter Milan Inter
    Barcelona v Chelsea Chelsea
    Werder Bremen v Lyon Lyon
    Liverpool v B.Leverkusen Liverpool
    PSV v Monaco Monaco
Man Utd v AC Milan Man Utd
    Bayern Munich v Arsenal Arsenal

All 4 English clubs will qualify, only dodgy one is Arsenal. Real always pull out a performance against the italians in Europe.

Well it could be very interesting... I'm looking forward to watching the Real v Juve match, should be a cracker! And of course the Man Utd v Milan game. I really don't see why people in this country can't support all the teams representing the country in Europe, but I suppose sometimes it's easier to be childish... ;) Anyway, I think it'll be tough, but if the defence play well I think Man Utd stand a good chance.

I think Arsenal will beat Bayern. They've not been great in Europe in recent years but I don't really think Bayern are anything particularly special, and Arsenal on a good day can easily beat them.

I think Chelsea should beat Barca as long as they don't let their success go to their heads. It happened to Man Utd a couple of years back when they just had to beat Leverkusen in the semi for a dream final in Glasgow, so I'd know... but I think they'll hold it together.

Liverpool will get through as long as they can break down Leverkusen. As I remember them from when I've seen them in Europe before, they have a very tough defence which might frustrate Liverpool, but I think with Gerrard playing well they'll be ok.

So that might be 4 english teams in the quarter finals... not bad!

    I'm in

I like the idea of that, could tMP but up a silly title to the champion (most correct predictions from now till end of champions league?)

    Real Madrid 2 v 1 Juventus
    FC Porto 1 v 0 Inter Milan
    Barcelona 0 v 2 Chelsea
    Werder Bremen 0 v 1 Lyon
    Liverpool 2 v 1 B.Leverkusen
    PSV 0 v 1 Monaco
    Man Utd 1 v 1 AC Milan
    Bayern Munich 2 v 1 Arsenal
    (first legs only)

Even if it doesn't take off that's my dodgy predictions! Come on the 'pool!
  16. Real Madrid v Juventus
    FC Porto v Inter Milan
    Barcelona v Chelsea
    Werder Bremen v Lyon
    Liverpool v Bayer Leverkusen
    PSV v Monaco
    Man Utd v AC Milan
    Bayern Munich v Arsenal

those r my predictions 4 the teams goin thru 2 the next round.

As you all know i am a LIVERPOOL FAN and it will be great if they can get through this round as the Liverpool Chairman Rick Parry as said it is a great tie for LIVERPOOL it could have been at lot worse but ARSENAL,MAN UTD&CHELSA have got some tough opposition.but it would be good to see all ENGLISH TEAMS in the last 8.:)

Some great ties in the making. All the top teams seem to have drawn each other!

    Prediction time!!

    Inter Milan
    Bayern Leverkussen
    AC Milan

I can't see all of the British teams progressing to be honest; both Liverpool and Man Utd have been tempremental all season, hence their league positions - they will have to be on top form in both legs to progress. Cant see Chealsea making an impact on Barca, who have been very effective. I think Arsenal have the best chance of progressing to the next stage, they are due a run of good luck, if they can pull together they should make it.

    Time will tell! :D
