CCB at Selsey Festival

    If anyone is in the area Chichester City Band are doing two concerts as part of this years Selsey Festival. Both are at the Manhood College, School Lane, Selsey (our website has a map). Concerts are tonight (Thurs 14th) and Tuesday night (19th August).

    Tonights programme is film music including:
    Somwhere Over the Rainbow
    Dambusters
    Hymn to the Fallen
    Singin in the Rain
    Ugly Duckling
    Oklahoma
    Great Western Themes
    James Bond
    Out of Africa
    Born Free
    Zulu (by Mr RT)

    On Tuesday we are doing a concert of Light/Big band music including:
    Soul Bossa Nova
    Manhattan Skyline
    Stardust (featuring yours truly!! :D )
    Hot Toddy
    Mack The KNife
    Sing Sing Sing
    Let's Face the Music and Dance
    Ob La Di Ob La Da
    Yesterday
    Hey Jude
    Wichita Lineman
    Zulu (by request!!!!!)

    Roy, bring yer Ab to the next one, cheers mate! I've got a few 'spare' Ebs going if anyone's interested.

    Tuesday concert feature - the worlds loudest horn player :wink:

    Got to say that's the most I've ever enjoyed Born Free - our Solo Horn got the bit between his teeth on one note and blew for Britain - it was a great note but also much louder than the rest of the band. The funniest thing was that even with other band members and conductor looking at him he continued to hold it, loud as ever! Corking note - I'd have been proud of that.

    7:30 sharp!

    I think there should be quite a few people in the band that you know as we have a large pompey contingent. :)
