Camborne Town Band Needs Your Vote!

    The Camborne Town Band’s project to repair and refurbish it’s 80 year old band room has won a place on the list of projects going forward to the public vote.

    The project is to completely renovate the aged band room which has been deteriorating during recent years. The intention is to: build toilets, disabled access and a storeroom; replace the ceiling and lights; replace windows and upgrade electrical switchgear. To complete this work the band have applied for a £50,000 lottery grant through the Big Lottery Fund's People’s Millions and are asking for your support when it comes to the public vote!

    This project will be featured on ITV West Country (Channel 3) regional news programme on Tuesday 25th November 2008 at 6pm. On that night, the viewing public will be asked to choose between the Band’s project and one other from our ITV Regional News area. The project that receives most votes will be declared the winner and offered a grant.

    The voting lines will be open at 9am on the 25th November and close at Midnight. I.e. Voting is only possible on this date.

    What a real worthy cause,having used and helped maintain this well used but crumbling facility over the years we have now reached a point where a refurb is possible PLEASE PLEASE GIVE US YOUR VOTE!!!!! Good luck Camborne Town from us at Camborne B and Youth Band
