    We want you!!!

For those that know the history of the Yorkshire based Drighlington Brass Band you will know that nearly 30 years ago it was nothing more than a training band with approx. 35 young learning players which shot through the lower sections like a bullet to it's current position between the 1st and Championship sections, and if you didn't; well you do now!!.

Well we want to start it again!!

A team of five Senior Band members have come together to start rebuilding our small but established group of learners in our Training and Youth Bands (although a B-Band could be on the cards if we get enough interest from adult players).

Whether you are an avid brass bander or just play a brass instrument, to any level, who can make it to the Leeds/Bradford area on a Tuesday night, fancy having a blow for an hour or two and helping to encourage our future budding musicians we would love to hear from you, even if it's just once in a while, especially if you are under the age of 18!!

You are totally free to play with other bands and also join us as the Youth Band is not a contesting band so you don't need to transfer to us, but we would definately ask for our own records verifiable contact details, to help us maintain Security and Child Protection levels.

Initially we are looking to put on 4 concerts a year (one in each season) with the main aim of getting the youngsters out to experience Whit Friday 2006, so there is none of the pressure of the contesting bands with Contests and Concerts to quickly put together.

So if you want a light hearted but enthusiastic atmosphere to play in on a Tuesday night, with FREE tuition if you want it as well, please get in touch with a few details about yourself!!
