How many keys does an oboe have, or more to the point, how many holes are in the instrument that the keys cover?

I've tried to look at diagrams and things from google and they just confuse me.. lines and blobs all over the place!

Just wondered if we had any oboists (sp?!) on here!

    Thanks, TuTuKu x

I have 20 on my clairnet if I counted correctly! Bound to be similarish on an Oboe I'd imagine....

What i really meant was, spose i didn't make myself very clear, was how many holes were there in the instrument, cos there's all sorts of fancy contraptions on it covering 2 holes at a time and confusing things like that! Give me a 3 valved cornet any day!
