I've not been in myself for a long time but I gather Da Sandro's up towards J24 of the M62 is very good.
Bit of a drive out of Huddersfield but Luigi's in Liversedge is brilliant and has been for quite some time. You don't get Astin Martins parked outside if your restuarant is poo!

sole mio's is good, up that small arcade on the left as you walk along market street just after Merrie England. Alternatively, next door to Sole Mios is a fabulous restaurant. it used to be called El Toro, but it's changed name but it is still good (well it was last time I went about 10 months ago). It is a Spanish and Sicilian restaurant. Excellent food, loads to choose from, kind of tapas and other stuff and really reasonably priced.

    hope this helps!
