Yes, thanks Stan for this great tribute to a very talented and greatly missed guy.
    He had it in spades.
He gave us some wonderful years at Kippax.
Some of my happiest banding memories.

They had them on the day of the contest last time round and they seemed to be selling fairly well, so I'd hope so.

Forgive me if I seem a little bit thick, but is the Championship Section piece a brand new composition?

seconded on the comment on the 4th section piece. i didn't play it at the nationals but joined a band who played it at a concert a few weeks later and for the 4th section it is very challenging.........nice to listen to though and i guess that's what the people who listen to will like if thy aren't too fussed over the result

Can anyone tell me how to get hold of a complete set of parts and score of 'Folk Music' by Keith Wardle. I have googled it and can't find it at all. Just Music don't have it and even searching for 'Optimi' or 'Optomi' is no use.

    cheers

    Graham,

Due to the death of Keith a year ago we have closed his publishing activities.(OPTIMI AND LIDGETT)

His piece chosen for 2010 Butlins Contest 'Folkmusic' is in the hands of a publisher currently being processed. and it will be announced shortly.
